Down in the River by lenoirrose
Fae bright eyes of sea green, flickering in the light like ripples over water. A quicksilver bright smile, laughing, but it never quite reaches the depths of the eyes. Hair as black as raven wings, spread like a cloak down a slender back, dew drops glistening against the tendrils that wind like vines and the flash of silver and gold against too pale skin - tarnished now, crumbling and fading, even as the once bright colors of a silk shirt fades to dusky a remnants of itself.
A character portrait for a story I'm writing, sort of an urban fairytale... this is the river fae, a Kelpie. I drew this in Painter, then switched to Photoshop for the coloring (I really haven't gotten the knack of Painter yet).
