Artwork Description

A lengthy piece that i worked on in levels as three seperate studies of texture and lighting. The three seperate pieces then came together as a final piece.

The skull reminds me of those old corpses they keep finding in moors. You know, with bits of clothes and hair attached to it. Young girls were stangled and their bodies left in the moors as a sacrifice to keep travellers save. Realy creepy. The skull looks so real and I love the background. Nice soft sky. Great expression of texture.

Have to conur with above, great sense of depth. I have an urge to see if I can pick it up. That skull looks old.

Great painting Simon, excellent textures, and a real feeling of depth. Nice one.

Art at its best.
