He looks into the void, his thoughts unknowable.
Reminds me of the Egyptian King Akhenaton, I really like him although his vision was rejected right after he died.
Thanks Michelle, that are very nice words, I like it!
Very powerful! You've managed to make the viewer draw their own conclusion about him. That's really important, I think. Excellent work.
Hahahaha Karl, blessed? You mean cursed! Artistic vision? You mean brains at zero and view on infinite! lol
Epilogue is now blessed with a great piece of artistic vision fomr the new dutch mistress
Such beautiful words you write here, thanks Adrian! You are right it could be a statue that comes to live when Lara Croft enters the room. I have checked it on my Elfwood page, people also think it's pharaoh Zhoser,
Ankhenaten or the Egyptian god
Ptah. It seems he has a lot of faces eh?
This kinda reminds me of the gloomy adventurous feeling one must have when entering holy but dangerous places such as in Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider or the Mummy. The lighting is supreme here, you know exactly how light falls on that myterious stone head, leaving everthing else in a creepy but attracting dark abyss. As usual very nice warm and earthy tones, gotta like that one a lot. Even though there is no background, this piece still manages to be narrative, well done Anneke!
