Thank you, Norma. This is one of my first pieces and I love it.

What a beautiful glow the painting has! I can see the Pre-Raphaelite influence here. I adore cats, so this picture is extra-meaningful for me. ^_^

Obrigado, Luizella. Já tenho outra tela "egípcia" desenhada para começar a pintar. Bast em sua forma humana cercada por gatos siameses.

The story of this picture is very interesting. When my daughter was a child, I used to tell stories of ancient Egypt to her and that we two had been pristesses of goddess Bast.We both love cats very much.In my stories we looked after Bast´s cat and they were given to the peasants who came to the temple to honour the Goddess and in need of cats to hunt mice. Many years after, I painted this piece inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites. And just recently I found out that Bast´s temples really had catteries in them. Very strange. What can I tell... Memories of other lives...or what?

ama's picture did you know i would have loved your work? Wink this depicting of Egypt is giving me sensations beyond words....
