Artwork Description

A quick little children's illustration I did after thumbing through Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are." I'll leave the story open to your interpretation Wink

Nice water color; very crisp and clear. I really like your character designs too; the size differense between the ogre and the girl is wonderful.

Fantastic picture! This is the story to me:
The girl is trying to tell the ogre how to act like one of his kind. After all, little kids only come across mean, aggressive ogres in their storybooks. The "ogre" doesn't know how to be that though, maybe because he's an outcast from the "real" ogres.
I adore this pic so much, you're really talented. It's my screensaver now btw Smile

It's adorable! I love the Ogre's expression... and I like the child's expression, too. I immediately thought of my little brother. Amazing work!!
