I am in total awe over your paintings.
They are absolutely amazing!!!
The way you paint your unicorns truely make them look mythical.

blueunicorn's picture

I too would rather instead of fighting there would be love. Actually the white unicorn is trying to cast out the evil in the black unicorn to save it.

Guest's picture

I like this picture because it says many about the fight of good and evil, but in my opinion it's better if they don't fight but Love the other one.

I myself don't believe that unicorns are born evil, but I thought that one could possibly be taken over by evil. Thanks for visiting. I enjoyed your comments.

blueunicorn's picture

Thanks for commenting! This is one of my favourites because there is so much in the painting itself to feel and see.

very good, ultamitly fantastic actually. i love all of the detail that it caries! and it also caries the good against evil theme in a way, i also love the setting that you put them in, like a night time wonderland, lol. much detail

Thanks Sidney. I hope you enjoyed the tour of my gallery. I also hope you spent time at some of the others here; they are cool too!

hey , your art is cool how do you do it. I'm an artist too. By the way, my name is Sydney. Well, bye.

i realy like the concept and the way you portrayed the black unicorn. i never thought of the existance of evil unicorns ( existance in fantasy world). and i like the sybolism with the old tree.

blueunicorn's picture

Thank you Ambur. It's one of my best pieces; glad you like it!

Thanks Uwe. It is a very strong painting. One of my best. Glad you like it.

think the most beautiful unicorn picture which i have ever seen - again i love your art

blueunicorn's picture

Thanks Stefany. I wanted a unicorn who looked all wrong - shorter body, twisted horn and red eyes in contrast to the typical white, powerful, beautiful "good" unicorn.

This has got to be one of my favorites. (I have a thing for contrasty work)
Beautifully done esp. in the portrayal of darkness in the black unicorn. Very nice!

Guest's picture

all your works are beutiful hard to choose a favorite excelent work LATER HEADCASE

blueunicorn's picture

Good, to me, is anything decent and honourable. Does there have to be evil to counteract this? I must say you made me chuckle though. View this painting forever, eh? Being an artist with some pride, I wouldn't mind! But that aside, as the story goes the black unicorn ran afoul of evil and was cursed. The evil is manifested in the crooked horn. The white unicorn has been sent to battle the evil within the black one.

Guest's picture

I guess there can be no winner, for what can you call good if there's no evil to show the difference? Anyway, it's good when none can win, so your unicorns have to fight forever, and we can forever look at this nice picture... Sorry for getting philosophical Wink

blueunicorn's picture

To my mind....good must always win! Or else we are doomed. It sometimes comes with a price though.

Guest's picture

oh i love this one.Unicorns are so beautiful.i just have one question.who wins? Good or evil?Smile

blueunicorn's picture

Thank you. You read him right. He is a bit afraid. That light shooting from the white unicorn's horn is aimed straight at his twisted one. And the white's righteous fury is awesome at that moment.

Guest's picture

Quite nice. The fury of the white unicorn is very well drawn. The black one however, could use some more horror and darkness.
It looks a bit too afraid.
Great lights too btw.

blueunicorn's picture

I don't see the short body as a flaw. I believe that each unicorn is as different as we humans can be. They are all individuals with quirks and flaws. Some are beautiful, some powerful, some dainty....and yes, some have short legs or short bodies! It's what makes painting them so inspiring and challenging. The image pops into my mind and I paint it.

Guest's picture

Absolutely beautiful to look at ! Your use of acrylics amazes me once more. One minor flaw is that the black unicorn's body looks too short...Putting that aside,a great picture with a great story behind it !

blueunicorn's picture

Thank you Marie. I certainly couldn't chose one that I liked best in your gallery, I have many favourites there!

valkyrie's picture

Hi Marilyn, this is one of my favs in your gallery, of course it's hard to choose with so many wonderful pieces! But this one stands out a lot to me, just the action and the whole composition ... simply stunning! Smile

Art at its best.
