The Character Looking Out The Window Makes Me Question...What Could He Be Thinking Of...As He Looks Out The Window While Researching Or Reads. Its Amazing And The Detail Show Alot.

I CAN see how people are reminded of Harry Potter by this. The hair, eyes, look very... Potter - ish. The full moon - Remus Lupin, werewolf. The Library, the mere title -- there is a huge library in Hogwarts. However, I see more. I see books written in strange kangauge. This I love. This would NEVER be in HP. Smile

I don't see why some think it is so offensive that this painting bares resemblance to the world of Harry Potter. I don't believe anyone was criticizing the work with their comments. They were only pointing out an intruiging connection between the two, whether it be coincidence or planned. I, for one, am enthralled by this piece. The colors are beautiful and details intricate. Bravo Chris

tis a nice painting and at first it reminded me HP but not after i took a good look.

it does really remind me of Harry Potter. In fact that book that has "Q U" on it for some reason I think the third letter would be "I" which gives me my obsessive conclusion of QUIDDITCH...sorry. Anywho, very nice work! I like it a lot

I think you'll find that the reason the reflection looks different is because it is not a reflection, it is a reversed image. There is a difference. If you look, you'll see that the larger area of his cheek in the reflection is actually pointing away from the window on the figure.

Other than that, I think this is a great picture! You should post this at GFX so I can vote for it! ^_^

A few people said it reminded them of Harry Potter. At first it did remind me of HarryP but it doesn't look like him, I think it's just the hair and maybe the books & the quill that reminds people of him.
And this is a really good picture:D

Great mood setting! Bravi, bravi, bravissimi. I don't even usually like this type of style, but here you've used all the elements to make a great picture where everything complements. Style, color, objects, lighting-- very nice! I enjoy all your work.

I hardly see where Harry Potter comes in and I think its lame people mentioned reference done for comparison... I don't see any similarities and it's a great work Smile

I love your art work. I went though all of them and I'm jealous I wish I could draw like that. Keep painting drawing.

Thanks everybody for your comments ^___^

The reflection of the face is in the same pose, but you're right, looks like as if it is different ^_^.

I don't know why all the Harry Potter comparisons are drawn. Much as the image is a WONDERFULLY rendered apprentice, I think a disservice is done comparing it to other works.

EXCELLENT work. Keep it up, yes?

This reminded me of Harry Potter as well Smile. I really like the feeling of cosiness this image has. Nice detail and atmosphere!

This reminds me of harry potter a lot... Laughing out loud I love it:)

Just me, or is the reflection of the face in the mirror in a different pose and expression than the face that is looking out?

Other than that, it seems like there is too much lighting in the room. The candle looks rather superfluous.

Art at its best.
