Wow. This is a Really good picture of good ole' Drizzit. And as far as drow go, yes, red or crimson is the most common color, though shades of lavender(like drizzit) and even yellow(though these are considered reflective of some bodily deformity, and most children with said eye color are sacrificed. A few other shades are possible as well, though usually as a result of a 'tainted' bloodline(via human or surface elf).
Really love this picture....very close to my imagined veiw of him...wish I was this artistic and could draw like this...and of course he has lavender eyes according to the stories...Great job!!
I like it. Better than the cover I think
he's realy cut. i'll go with him anyday.^^
I was in Iraq when i read the Dark Elf Trilogy and must say I am suprised at how close this pic is to the way I imagined him.I do believe you are right though ... a little grey would help the character a bit I think...
Also just wanted to say, if you do get a chance to I think it would be great to see a new pic of Drizzt with his protective cat. Sorry but cant remember the cats name lol.
Keep up the great work!!!
Face doesnt need brightening, turn up your moniter settings if its too dark for you..Drow are supposed to have dark skin, its one of their racial traits if you havnt noticed!
Nice work btw ^_^
Incredible coloring of the drow's skin.
i've never seen anyone make a good pic of Drizzt. oh and post 1, his eyes are supposed to be purple, the rest of his race have red eyes
Thank you, and I can take critisism. I don't always agree with it, though . This drow here is not any drow, he's my (old) depiction of Drizzt, and Drizzt has lavender eyes... I also think I made his face too purple, should have made it dark-grey instead.
Thanks for your comment!
I luv the pic, but u think u can stand a bit of critisism? Maybe brighten his face a bit, and his eyes are supposed to be ruby-colored...but otherwise a great pic!!!
In response to: "In D%
absolutly caputres Drizzt in all his glroy. one of the greatest pictures of Drizzt i hae ever seen. kudos to you.
It's a drizzit!!!
one of the best Drizzt i ever seen
Heehee, so did I ^_^. Glad you've found the thrill of Salvatore's books, can wait for the next one to make it here... I've already ordered it e-signed
I work in a bookstore and constantly sell Drizzt's books (16 in all, 17 when Two Swords comes out). There are so many people who just love this unique Drow, you wouldn't believe it! The sad thing is, I never read them until about 3 months ago! All this time, thinking about maybe doing it and then not. Well...at least I didn't have to "wait" for them to come out
(I did think it was hilarious when one of the commentators complained about his eyes...I always try to imagine Drizzt upclose, pitch black with such hair and lavendar eyes...I would be speechless...)
I would have to agree with many here, this is the best picture of Drizzt that I have seen, and I have looked at alot of pictures of Drizzt. Great Job, and Keep the Artwork coming.
OH my.... He's so purty. Very nice pic of Drizzt, and uh, hmmm. There seems to be a little something off about the ears, but his eyes are beautiful, gorgeous, and the skintones are perfect, his nose comes from a god, and his lips, welll. Very nice work. Absolutely beautiful!
That IS Drizzt! The eyes are PERFECT! Kudos to you--I adore that drawing!
*lol* Have you read the stories about Drizzt? He has got lavender eyes, and Salvatore's very specific about that. Even in the infra-red specrum, has he lavender eyes. Thanks for your statement, but I know almost everything about drow .
I love your version of Drizzt!!! But I thought there is one thing you should know. In D&D drow eyes are either red or silver..don't get me wrong I like your Idea!!! It's a REALLY REALLY good picture!!
He's wearing the sign of Mielikki, right? That's such a great touch!
My lord he's pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's a great pic of Drizzt!
Positively hypnotic. From the way his
hair is lifting as if in a breeze, to
the rich color effects. I especially
like the hint of the scimitar in the
pic. Wonderful work.
I don't think I made him justice though -- perhaps a new will come soon...
This is one of the best illustrations of Drizzt i've seen for awhile. Glade you didn't make him old-looking like in many of the book illustrations.
....may i call you master?
to fall in love :)__
