This was done for Mystic Eye Games and the assignment was to have a bunch of adventurers in front of a guild house. Well of course it will be boring if they are just standing there doing nothing so I came up with the idea when I was doing the composition for it. It evolved as I was working on it also. I started with the merchant looking guy and he was suppose to be a storyteller but when I added the viking, everything became different. I just gave him a more aggressive stance because I wanted his head to be lower than the merchant's for the sake of composition. Anyway, the guy with the hood was last and he just became tougher looking as I was drawing him.
im my mind i think the guy w/ the hood is very strong and looks calm and is going to do what he has to do if he must, but i also think that inside he has alot of pressure on him and his heart is beating really fast right about now..but there's no doubt that hes going to win though....but that's just my comment, what were u thinking as u worked on this wicked masterpeice.
Hey John! If you ever visit Los Angeles we should get together in my studio and share tips
