Flight and Roses by jhoneil
I saw a friend of mine standing on her toes, and it seemed to me like she was floating. I like the idea of painting someone flying or floating, since I don't have to follow the laws of gravity as much. Originally, the painting only had the floating woman above a landscape, but, composition-wise it was not working. The roses were added after chatting with a friend about love, relationships and freedom. Not only was it a perfect solution to a bland composition, but it also added depth and meaning to the image.
