i find this picture extremely ironic. it seems to me to represent nations wielding weapons they hope will bring them power. but that hope is like a casle in the clouds, a fantasy, a dream, for while nations play war, they are hurting the earth and its inhabitants. and in the end, who will be left, and what will there remain to enjoy?
this pic is one of many test bombing the US did underwater. many animals and corals reefs perished for their nonsense, and the battleship's crew died 20-50 years later from cancer, because of the radioactive exposure.

This is magnificent! I did a photograph of a castle in the clouds looking through an XKE's window, but I love this

LOL, I know what image you used, and I think its a great subject. The use of destruction to represent beauty is a great mix. I like your other work as well, keep it up.

I really like this piece. At first, I thought it was just a supernatural upsurge of water holding up the castle, but soon after, I realized it was the base of a nuclear explosion (I have a copy of the photo you used--that's how I knew what it was. Also, I have a thing for castles. I like how you tied everything together in this one. Keep it up!

Digital? I do not believe you. It looks like a fine watercolor painting to me! The effects are gorgeous. The fading and clouds and mist. The tone and feel of this is absolutely perfect, real and unreal, which is of course the point, right?

*lol* everyone asks why the battleship is there!! I haven't put a description on this one... but the piece is photomanipulation.
I've left the battleship there on purpose, as the piece has a more symbolic than literal interpretation to me. It's a comment on war... creation coming from destruction, the transition from fantasy to reality etcetc (/art toff) *grin* .... So being that it's a war ship and all, I feel it belongs there.

This is one of the most original looking castles I've seen. Very original land formation, and gorgeous palace. The white glowing effect really works well.
