Named after Unity's gesture. ^_^
is some of your work on show in the DLI museum in durham? because im sure i saw your name in there yesterday n thought it looked really good
Just to tell you that you've gained a new and gigantic admirer of your work!!!I really feel like in heaven when I look at the background colors , they are so bright and soft that seem so ethereal...As a boreal aurore...Which technique did you used??Of course , the anime-style shadowing and lighting of the character gives to the pic a very expert and freshly made. Just wonderful , keep up the great art and work!!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pic. Great work it's also nice to see some British artistes since the artistes on this web page all seem to be American.
Holy hair!!!!!That has got to be the longest hair I've ever seen!!!!Anyway, this is beautiful.
Very nicew and creative you should do more like this.
Hi. Love all of your postings. They are so beautiful and fresh. Very professional looking too!

Wowiekabootles! I love it! *hugs* It's just so wonderful and dandy and amazing and perfect and spiffy and swifty and snifty and peachy and bright and happy and colorful... Wow! I love it! *hugs again* You're so wonderful!
Grrrrr... who told you that you were crap?! As George the Stalker, I shall hunt down this person and beat their head in with my soggy mop! Pardon my rage-fueled outburst. You are a fantastic artist, and I love your work. Never stop, though I don't suppose you intend to... Now, about you're picture...very cool! The background is great, and it does look like abstract stained glass. The girl's clothing and hair are amazing, but all this has been said before. I'll stop now
Awsome, stunning, absolutely beautiful and I just can't get over those amasing colours..WOW
Another great one here, I wish I had half as much imagination when it comes to thinking up outfits. A very dynamic
feel created here, I vowed to take note, but I'll probably forget it during the course of the day.
Dig the hair especially, and the dress.
WOW!! Your work is so amazing! I've seen your elfwood gallery and then I came to look at this gallery, and I will never tire of seeing your work!! I know you were going for a cathedral feel in this gorgeous picture, but when I first saw it, it kind of reminded me of an enchanted forest. Especially where all the light is shining through!!!! It's such a beautiful picture! I'm and anime/manga fanatic so I will be coming back for more!!!

It's gorgeous, just like all your other pictures I've looked at! *glomps you, even if she doesn't know you* And, being a total anime freak, I love seeing others draw anime, especially such wonderful pictures, like yours. ^.~ Wonderful job, and keep up the good work. I'll most certainly check for any new pictures from you often!
I don't know what I shell say.
Lol, yayy! I love purple! ^_^ Thank you! Unity's hair colour is supposed to be my favourite kinda purple. A dead centre of purple and blue. I say 'supposed to be my favourite colour' because it always varies slgihtly. ^^* Anyways, cheers! Have a cookie!
Inspiration? Dear... ^^* Too many things. The first and overall inspiration would be a will to get away from the known world for a few hours. There are some things you want to see, and some things you don't. And there are some things you don't want to see but have to see, and then there are things that you really want to see but can't. So I take my inspirations from this last bit. Anime style to me is perfect for this. A diverse variation of simplistic forms, and realistic interpretations, and combinations of the two. So if you wanted to do a realistic background in manga, you could, if you are feeling like a comedian and want to draw your characters in SD, or little floating hearts everywhere, you could, and similar and so fourth with stories and and other media... All joined together within the same context of your 'style'. So if all of that made aaaany sense whatsoever, that's my main and psychological inspiration. How long did it take to get where I am? \ Well, I've been drawing comics from about age five if that counts? ^^* I never really started anime/manga until I was about 14, then I started taking it more seriously in summer 1999 after somone told me that I was crap. My goal is to become less crap, because, as long as art exists, they'll always be 'mistakes'.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thanks, Rob! Goo goo g'joob! ^_^ (I say that sometimes in fits of happiness , don't mind me ^_~*). The background came from a really bad black and white photocopy I had lying around which I thought might look quite interesting --as I love abstract art and art where you don't exactly know how it's going to turn out when you start . I scanned it, then adjusted the level contrast so it was mainly black and white. (Umm.. Just so you know, I used Photoshop). I dragged the layer into the main pic as a background layer and deleted the RBG channels, then began to add colour. I had a 'cathedral' feel in mind (because I love the atmosphere of churches and cathedrals ^_^) so I wanted to make the background like the expanse of cathedral walls, and some of these shapes around Unity's head to be like the stained glass windows. This pretty much reflects the way I would like Beyond Realm, my non-existant manga, to turn out; narratively and atmospheric type of thing. A cross between sci-fi but mainly fantasy.
Aww, thank you Michelle! You made me happy now. *happy dance* ^___^
Purple hair! how cool can ya get? gnarly!
first off that background is simply amazing! what did you use to make it? also i would just like to say i love the outfit and the hair, you are a true master at your craft ^_^ what is your major insparation for your work? how long did it take for you to get where you are now because this is great!
Yet again you took my breath away. Her outfit is so pretty and the colors of the backround just like grabbed my attention.
It's all so pretty! Must-stop-looking!! WoW!! I try and try to draw pics that looks like a real anime, you've definately achieved this! ^_^ *stares some more*
Aww hey thank you! Eh lookie, made me go all red now! ;P --Ooh I jsut noticed Unity doesn't look very happy in this pic. <:( Ah, trust me, she's got a Mona Lisa smile. ^_~*
