Artwork Description

I envision her as a poisoner, contemplating her next victim. The stained glass background was painted digitally, using Corel Painter 7, and is not a photograph.

Hehe, thanks. Smile Actually the effect was accidental - or maybe "instinctive" if I was lucky. Smile

I don't know if you meant to do this, but I think that framing her head with the stained glass ovals emphasized the "queen" side of her. Very lovely and well done! ^_^ ~Jeri

Thanks! This was another experimental picture. I had never before incorporated stained glass into one of my pics. Smile

She has lovely nails, and the fabric of her dress is very unique and interesting. My favorite aspect of this character, however, is her hair.
And I agree, she does seem the type of person who would use subterfuge, such as poison, to go after people.

Dune is a series I've never read, although it comes highly recommended. Thanks for your comment.

she reminds me of princess Wensesca from dune. she was the sister of pricess Irulan. only... darker.

You are too kind! Smile The eyes were purposely honey colored. Also, the stained glass was pieced together from actual scans of stained glass from a sample collection belonging to a stained glass artist. I took the scans into the Corel Painter program, and "painted" with them as a texture.

Her jewels are lovely, Norma. Great job on them. Her eyes look sort of...honey colored. Is that what you were going for? I'd also like to comment on the background. She looks as though she is standing in front of stained glass. How did you accomplish that? You've done a brilliant job, but that's not saying much, since you're naturally brilliant when it comes to art. Do you ever do any pieces that reflect the way you feel? Sort of like a poet? It seems to me that your feelings and depth are expressed through the pictures you create. You breathe life into your characters, and your sheer talent and expertise is what makes them as stunning as they are, love. Smile
