Artwork Description

Self portrait for The Gallery of Souls. I decided to portray myself as an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, in tribute to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. The gold frame has become the Great Serpent Ring, a snake swallowing its own tail, and the symbol beneath is the flame of Tar Valon, city of the White Tower.

agree with Jie Roque.
I really love WoT, but unfortuantely there aren't many who share my passion. I try to make the world some WoT drawings richer, but I'm still in my learning shoes.
The only thing is that it looks a LITTLE to old, but further... I would almost believe you're Aes Sedai when I would meet a woman with SUCH a face Shock great job!

Norma, I visit your gallries both here and on Elfwood quite often and you never cease to amaze me. I love your style and colors so much you are an artist that I show my friends to. You rank up there with Royo and Lockwood. It's a shame we can only know each other through gallery comments. You are an extraordnary woman

Thank you for the awesome comment. Smile I love working with color - I'm a really color oriented person. Hope you're enjoying your start with the WoT books. At the moment, I'm working on Winter's Heart, and I have Crossroads of Twilight waiting when I'm finished. Actually, when I used to work in oils, I used to do a lot of landscapes, and lately I was considering doing some digital landscapes, but in a fantasy theme. Smile

You are so Beautiful! By the way, I have a passion for the Wheel of Time, and I can find so few people who like it, much less draw about it...

So good to see and ageless person again Wink

You have a wonderful style and sence of color. I love how your colors almost never dim. They are all vibrant and I guess that one thing that really makes up your style. Glad to here that you are into Wheel of Time too. My best friend and I have been reading together and enjoying the books very much. Although she's on the fourth while I'm still trying to finish the first.
::blushes:: I'm a slow reader as you can tell. Well, I'm looking forward to new artwork. And maybe you should start doing landcapes too. I have a feeling you could become great at it. I'm a people person too and freak out when I have to do landscapes.

BTW- thanks for dropping by my gallery. Not many people know what vector art is, or the difficulties that
come with that type of digital illustration. I REALLY appreciated all your kind words of encouragement- and coming from
such an accomplished and wonderful artist as yourself, your comments were/are extremely inspirational. Thanks again- and I'll be looking
forward to seeing more of your artistic gems here at Epi.

Why thank you, Kristin. ^_^ Yes, that mouth is capable of liberal amounts of sarcasm and the occasional tongue-lashing. ^_~
