Saxxon is the last in a race of beings made up of man and hawk, another character portrait.
Thank you so much Jean-Marc, it's always so wonderful to get feedback from another artist. ^^
I have been a fan of your work since the first time I came to Epilogue.
This is very nice; I appreciate the colors here.
Thanks Summer! I was pretty happy with this girl. I'm glad she has a soft quality, because within the body of my story she is a very gentle creature.
i really like that face marking and the bkgd is way hip too! the figure does feel light and soft with that bkgd.
This was the first time I'd worked on illustration board, and I was kind of getting my footing. I'm glad you like it, there is a little bit of irredescence in the paint that does not show up on the computer, but she's kind of a sparkley girl in person. ^_^
Hey, thanks for sending me your link! I'm just loving the effects you've done with the background in the hawk, contrasted nicely with the "soft", almost airy quality of the figure. Very lovely stuff; I hope to see more.
Thanks so much - I will be doing another picture of her soon. One with full wings.
She's so pretty! I love the border and the background too.. and her wings
Thanks Dan! She is my thoughtful girl. ^_^
This is a very emotional piece. Nice expression on her face.
Thanks Jean-Pierre, to have you be my first artist comment is such a treat. Just call me earth-tone girl, I have always love this pallete as well.
welcome to Epilogue.I like the palette in this piece. I also like the textures.
The character's expression is great as well.
Hi Kayleen- thanks for the nice comment. I really try to put finishing details into my paintings, like the framework. I really like traditional work too, (that may be dictated by the fact that I don't know how to do digital work! hahaha) , but really, I like the fell of putting brush to paper. ^_^
Your work is wonderful! I didn't know which one to comment on, I love them all. I like the framework you did on this painting - also it's nice to see some traditional work. Don't get me wrong, digital is great, but I really like the look of brushwork....
Really nicely done.
Nice work! she has a very sensual quality - it's wonderful that she has some meat on her bones. Your color palette is so rich. Keep the goos stuff coming!
