Artwork Description

Another pic from the Danger Quest universe. Maybe some explanation is necessary, so here goes. Deep breath....It's the year 2330....he's a mountie....with a mask......ummmmm. Maybe I didn't really need to explain it.

I love how the guy on the right looks like ARNOLD. It's about time someone kicked him in the face for saying, "CALIFORNYA"

The masked guy's left (his right) lower leg is far too short if we are to believe that the other leg has been foreshortened. Given the angle of the boot of the left leg, it rather dictates the length of the lower leg and if we straighten out the foreshortened right (his left) leg, it will be way longer than the left leg.

Otherwise, it is a nice painting!

You got it. Obviously Danger Quest is highly inspired by pulp stories of the 30's and 40's, but I couldn't use existing characters so I just had to re-invent them and put some of my own spin on them. The Masked Mountie is most definitely the Shadow.

He really reminds me of an old-time radio (and comic) character called "The Shadow", who wore similar garb and in later comic incarnations, wielded two guns. There was even a movie made about it Tongue
I really like this painting - extremely dynamic with great perspactive!

"A Mountie never fails to get his man!" Makes me proud to be a Canadian, Drew. Very nice work, as usual.
