Character portrait. Yet another experiment with watercolor textures.
I really like the detail in this peice of work, very nice, and exotic...
Mmmmmm........this is really delicious!
I started out with a brown watercolor texture which was scanned in, then I took a B/W pencil sketch and put it over the watercolor layer as a multiply layer. Then I flattened the layers and burned and screened in the darks and lights (so I wouldn't totaly paint over the texture). Then I put a color layer over the whole thing and put in the colors, and then touched it up with some opaque painting.
Was this all with Photoshop? Wacom tablet? I'm just wowed!
You know, I wasn't going for that, and I didn't know that artists name, but I looked him up and went "oh yeah, that guy" I have a horrible memory for names.
Exceptionally pretty! I adore this piece!
Pretty! The texture looks just like an edmund dulac... which is what you were trying to do right? I can't even quite figure out how to do that with watercolor.
This is beautiful, the gold turned out really well; it has a very lovely colour and texture.
