Artwork Description

Whoa! It's been a long time since I had anything to submit to my gallery here. Too long. This was done for the Master/Servant contest on CGTalk. The poor fellow is tormented only by himself. Hope you like it.

I've got a booth at the GenCon in Indy this August, 2005. Come on by and say hello.

Wow, Uwe, in awe? Now I'm flattered. It's comments like yours that keeps me going. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to post your thoughts. Thanks.

Thanks Bill. I'm interested to see the winners from this contest at cgtalk. I've got my own list going.
It's too bad they have to cancel making a book from this year's contest.

Thanks James. I looked to movies like Fight Club and the original Matrix for some colour cues. I wanted it to feel unclean.

Thanks Jon. It took me a while to get the angle right (and I'm sure there are still a few issues), but it was something I wanted to try. Plus it added some interest to a fairly static image.

Thanks Rita. The tatoo was something I thought he needed to make the connection between the two figures as being the same guy.

Stunning composition work, Steve, I really can't say enough about this, the whole painting is so convincing, fantastic dramatic tension and movement, and the subdued tones add to the realism!

Terrific pose and emotion. A lesson in composition and 'camera angle' too! Love the muted palette. Altogether a super pic.

Art at its best.
