Lol...dont worry about it Matt...Its an honor that I even get to be in Epilogue in the first place. I walk among giants here, true professionals in their respective fields. I am but a beginner, and I thank you for gracing my humble little gallery sir!

That was weird, I think I must have pressed the wrong button, anyway, just wanted to say that this is one my favourites. I love the smoky atmosphere and the moon is superb. You have some really nice stuff in your gallery Chris!

Hi Chris, I can't believe I haven't commented on your work. I feel a little ashamed of myself considering you always

All I can say is that I really did not cut and paste a photo of the moon in this image. I hand rendered it on a wacom tablet while looking at reference. I think that if I had just cropped a photo of the moon, it would really look out of place because it would be too "perfect" and detailed

I dig that it looks like charcoal on a phot of the moon.

Uwe, you are very kind and friendly person. I thank you for having the capacity to admire the works of we more amateur up and coming artists. I have nothing but the deepest of respect for you and your amazing works. See you around. Smile

Thank you Jenny. According to my hit statistics, this is the most popular image in my gallery right now. I appreciate your kind words. By the way, love your vast collection of watercolor works. Wink

Oh, very cool image! I love the mood, still but menacing. Great play with light and shadow.

Now that you mention it, this image does have a widescreen aspect ratio heh heh Smile Also, I painstakingly rendered that moon from a photo on my Wacom, I'm proud of how it turned out. I notice that when we artists draw from life, our mind and hand processes it somewhat, changes it, creating a new image with slightly different characteristics. For instance, I think when you draw something from a photo James, you actually make it look better. It's like you only see the best qualities of the image and enhance them to a new level of perfection. I try to do that too, and I find that fascinating. Thanks for your kind praise. Smile

Oh Man, Christopher, this has the feel of a movie about it, eerie and atmospheric, your detailed moon is awesome!

Thanks Christine! Smile Corel is kinda like the poor artist's photoshop heh heh, at least for me it is. I got a copy of Corel 8 off eBay for a $1.00 once! I hope it wasn't stolen or something, gulp, but I couldn't resist! The bid price was only a buck! It came with all the huge manuals and everything! The seller was honorable to his word and mailed it to me even though no one else bid. I never thought I would get it, but I paid the $1.00 anyway, and sure enough, 2 weeks later, I got this wonderfully powerful program in the mail!
And yeah, maybe one day I will do a blown up version of this. They only wanted an image that was 1X3, or 2x4, so this is actually bigger than what was called for. I found that it was impossible, even on the computer, to fit a satisfying amount of detail into such a small space, so I had to make the image bigger. Thanks for dropping by!

Thanks Marley, I like the points you mentioned as well, and I knew you would because you are the "Cloud Dude". ^____^

Woohoo! I immediately wanted to see a larger version, so job well done! I use Corel and a Wacom too...huzzah!

Thats a neat one chris, really spooky ambience. I particularly like how the moon melds with the cloud structure around. Cool figure work too Smile.

Art at its best.
