Looking at your pics I just thought of something. I used to do very thick lineart, the same way you do, until Arnie Swekel (D&D illustrator) told me my lines didn't fit my subject matter. It seems to be the same with your pics. Ever tried "inking" just with pencil? That's what I've been doing ever since!

Thanks, James and Bill! Yes, I have been looking at Mucha - I've always loved the Art Nouveau look (especially Mucha), and I've finally plucked up the courage to try to emulate the style!
