Artwork Description

This is just a little quarter-page interior I did a while ago, but I liked playing with a sort of Adam Hughes-style rendering technique.

This is the coolest and most realistic picture I've ever seen.

It is so cool

Hm... I don't agree, but that's the beauty of art. Lots of room for interpretation.

Thanks, Rita - I always think it's odd how the feirce and mighty Vikings always had their cute blonde braids. Almost as if they are daring you to laugh at them, so they can split your skull open. Like this guy did!

Thank you, Uwe - I do try to get better with each project, although some times it's hard to know if I am or not... I just keep working away at it!

Hmm Patrick, what a viking. His braids are so cute Wink but dont like the mess he did ...

And another great one – think it is a good thing to try many different styles – great b&w piece Patrick... also it seems you got many different work lately, so it seems you get now the recognition you deserve – that’s wonderful, and it shows that working and learning really hard pays off at the end Wink. And you improved a lot since the first pieces I saw from you – you are a spectacular artist my friend...

Thanks - it's fun to try different styles sometimes, but there are certain artists like A.H. (or Frazetta or Franklin Booth or Mucha or whoever) who's style is so "big" or individual that if you do more than one or two pics like them you risk becoming a clone. Still, it's nice to play around.

That Adam Hughes style gets addictive man, and hey, it looks good on just about everything! He's apparently gonna be at the local convention next year too, I can't wait for that to roll around Smile.

Good job on this piece, as much as I like your color work, I always have a soft spot for the b/w's.

Art at its best.
