This began life as a sepia acrylic wash. The final image is a result of letting the computer have its way with it.
damn, mark. last i checked, your work was tending toward abstraction (in the good sense) and you surprised me with the hyperrealism of your angel girl. but this one floors me. it's gorgeous. i'm especially impressed that he doesn't look like you. no, really. it feels like such a departure from your previous stuff. the detail, the tone, his sash (its smoothness in contrast with all the movement), his lips, the rest of his face, the pagoda, the bandages... beautiful. smooches,
