Third in the Fable series. The face in the moon is actually a self-portrait.
Wow--I really like the edge detailing!
I love this work and love your answer about wearing your age proudly. But you are very young. I myself am almost fifty and proud of it.
Thanks for your comments! I mention on one of the Fable series images that these women were drawn as portraits. The lady whom Gypsy Moth is modeled after likewise complained. She said I made her look old. But I must point out that she was well past fifty at the time I did the illustration. Perhaps I was a bit too honest. And perhaps in time I'll remove her smile lines. Then again, I'm 33 myself, and facing a few such lines myself. Personally, I'd like to be able to wear 'em proudly. *s*
Excellent linework...I do so love pen and ink! I haven't hit your web page yet, but the only thing I might watch is those lines around the mouth (under the cheekbones...I know they have an official name, but it escapes me.) They age the face unless there's a big smile going on. Does that make sense? Hope so...well, off to peruse your other stuff!!
