My Muse discovers a flock of faeries.
This is my favourite portrait of another person EVER!What makes it so special is your obvious love for the woman portrayed (which I notice you mention is your wife)...such tenderness and magic charm....it is like a private and beautiful glimpse inside your heart.Your obvious affection for your subjects is a real balm for the spirit and quite honestly you have restored my faith in human nature!(persephone)
Yes, prints can be found at www.jamesbrowne.net. Thank you!
You wouldn't happen to sell prints of this anywhere would you? It's so beautiful. I love the angle.
Thank you very much J. Hensley! I'm glad you enjoy my work. This painting is my personal favorite. Thanks for the compliment!
Your work is very unique, and extremely wonderful. It really makes me happy when I look at your work, and my neices love the fairies, and other lovely and magnificient characters who have created. With Warmest Regards. J.Hensley
I'm glad it reminds you of something so special. The fairies are out there, maybe even one of those butterflies you saw there was perhaps a fairy. Thank you Katharina.
This is so beautiful! Reminds me very much of my favorite place in the woods, on the highest point of some old castle ruin. Well maybe one day I will meet some fairies there, too, who knows... Until now it was only butterflies I met there
I just love everything about this picture! From the point of view to the idea behind it. Beautiful and so magical. -quickly hides her art under a rock-
Why thank you, Anouk!
No! The details! I cant be.. this is too much O.o; Lovely image'
Thank you Maria. Yes, it is my wife sitting high upon those rocks. It was a wonderful setting for this painting.
I was going to asked if your wife posed for this (I recognized the face from the pic on your website), and then I read the comments. =) Wonderful job, and great angle! The height does look like you wouldn't want to fall down from there...
Thank you, Megan
Very pretty and realistic looking! The heights in the background almost scare me when i look downward. very good job!
Memories of the past. What a beautiful thing...
I'm glad you were able to fall into this piece, Anna. It's a true compliment.
This reminds me so much of a dear friend of mine, it brings back such peacful and beautiful memories... +sigh+
thank you James,
Regards Thee x x x
I love the colors that you have used in this painting, you have such skill with watercolor! I am glad I am not afraid of heights, I feel like I am looking right in on the scene through a little window! Great painting!
Glad it touches you so Marilyn.
Glad you like it. She does attact faeries & myself for that matter (she's my wife).Keep that whymsical feeling in ya!
Thank you Socar! I feel the same way too. What would we do without the fantasy world? Everyone needs to escape every once in a while.
You guessed it, the moon moth. My favorite moth too. Thanks Tatiana
I'm glad you like it Theresa. Yes, when the piece calls for it, I do use photos for refference. This happens to be my personal favorite painting. It's of my wife (my Muse).
Someone has found my favourite spot! These are the dreams...this is the moment....here is where my heart is.
Nice touch how the stars and moons on her blanket and shoe compare to the sparkles of the faeries. Stars on her shoes? This seemingly simple girl must have a spark inside that attracts the faeries.
No, I haven't been smoking anything, just having a whimsical morning.
Cool! Yo have a good sense of design, and a lot of skill.
Just beautiful...I absolutely adore the muted colours you've used, and the angle is breathtaking--I feel like I'm going to fall right in! (Not that that'd be a bad thing!)
I don't know what to say, I love this. The cute little faeries( have the wings of my favorite moth- the moon moth. I like how to stars on her blanket seem to glow.
