A proposed painting for a book titled, "The Secret Life of Elves & Faeries. The private Journal of Robert Kirk"
Thank you guest!
The faces are so noble, it makes one feel small and common just looking at them. It's beautiful!
Quite, quite excellent. An inspiration for all.
GAH!!!!!!NOT FAIR!!!!!I WANT TO DRAW LIKE YOU!!!!How can you give those shadows with watercolour?. It must be very difficult.I sometimes use watercolour on my drwaings but they never finish as wonderful as yours!!!!You're BIG!!!!!

And color is beautiful above all.
Thank you Wenche!
Lovely as always
Thank you Sarah. I'm glad you like it.
Thanks Cynthia! It's always great to hear from you!
Gorgeous details. I especially like the crystals in the throne
Wonderful details, as always.....just lovely!
You nailed it buddy! Standing before them is the Rev. Robert Kirk, a true figure in history, who fell into the faery realm. They were kind to him in the beginning....
Thank you Anne! I'm glad you like it. I'm really impressed with your work too! I saw it for the first time today. Very inspiring!
Why thank you Darla! I used a little gesso mixed in with the watercolor for the pattern on her dress. I don't like the smell of the liquid frisket.
Jonathan Pryce? You're right, he does have his resemblence. Once again Mary, thank you for your kindest of words.
A lovely portrayal, if I am right, the King is conveying something discretely to the Queen, who though seemingly unapparent listens intently and maintains a regal dignified demeanour...am I right? I am ain't I? lol! anyway James, yet another great display of detail and colour! excellent!
Beautiful, James! I really like the composition of this work. And the king is a hottie!
qeit - in english humna speak.....quiet.
WOW! I am so bowled over by your work. These two characters have such a qeit strength in the way you've portrayed them. Her expression is just beautiful.
Did you mask to get the pattern in the fabric of her dress?
Gorgeous, James! Great details, colours, the works! The bloke reminds me a bit of Jonathan Pryce (hubba hubba!) - I've always thought he had a rather regal air about him.
