A tribute to one of my favorite artists, Socar Myles.
what to say? all you do and your imagination are just fantastic!! your work is lovely and it makes me feel like I can go to that place and see it, and feel part of it... congratulations =)
Thank you Michael!
Great idea, the hair continuing the flow of the trunk. Very restful and compassionate.
Your work is truely wonderful too Marilyn! Thank you for your kindest words!
Why thank you Vera!
Aww....Fae, don't dig a hole & hide. That's the last thing I would want my work to do. Thank you for kindest words. You have a beautiful name by the way.
I really like the work see creates. This painting sort of happened by mistake & when it was all finished it happened to have Socar's likeness. Thus, the tribute to her, plus she's a good friend.
Always great to hear from you Rita. Thanks!
Oh to be able to draw like that! I have just finished going through your gallery and I want to dig a hole in my garden, throw my art into the ditch, stamp on it and have a little bonfire.
I really hope you are getting paid for this kind of talent and imagination.
I especially like the one with this comment. She has a pretty pose and her pointed ear just peeking out of her hair in front of her flowered crown really captures the essence.
I don't think I've ever seen a tree quite as cool as that before. I want to climb it but I don't really want to ruin it in any way.
Keep up the exellent work!
Socar Myles is one lucky artist to get such a tribute..... It is so very beautiful..... that tree is stunning
Hi James, you are amazing. Everytime I see another Pic of you, I think, wow, you cant paint any better -- and then another masterpiece! Beautifully!!!!
As usual your trees seem much more than trees. Your work has inspired me more than you'll ever know. A trip through your gallery has me itching to pick up a paintbrush and go to it!!
James, God bless you! Your talent is phenomenal!
Thanks again Ken for the kind words. Actually doing the gradation in the sky wasn't too bad. The original is only 5 1/2 in. x 8 1/2 in. So I didn't have cover alot of ground.
Thank you, you bastard! Hehe. Rackham has had a HUGE influence on me. His work & his life's story. I still look like I'm in high school.
Your wonderful creations always make me happy too Wenche!
Wow Sir? You can call me James, I'm not worthy enough to be called sir. Thanks B. Isaac!
Thanks man! From one James to another.....I feel the same way about your masterfully created colored penciled works!
Aww...thanks Nell! Like most other things, trees too have a soul. If a tree could talk (some can), imagine the stories they could tell about the things they have seen through the years. What a great idea for a book.
Sure I could teach you High! Trees, besides the human figure are my favorite things to draw & paint. Not that you need to be taught, your work is beautiful (especially the colors!)!
For reason I always that way about all tree nymphs. Almost as they are bound & I not too sure they live a life of happiness. Complacency is a perfect word. Thank you Guest!
....and I have to add...really nice job with that blue/purple gradated sky...must have been tough to keep that nice gradation surrounded by all those leaves, etc....smooooooth!
you bastard! How can you be so doggone rackham good? Stop looking so young!
again, as everyone says, you excel!
So sweet, you make me happy.
Superb Mr. Brown, Sir.
Lovely watercolours, masterfully done, as usual, your woodland features never cease to amaze and delight me! she is just exquisite! great stuff from a great artist! nice one, James!
Wow, pure magic as usual! I love your trees, you really bring out something special in them. Lovely.
It is a work very great with usual!
Would you teach me the kind of always drawn tree?
Simply beautiful, I love the flow of the picture and how you captured her complacency. Keep up the phenomenal work.
