PRINCESS SNOWFLAKE by naddy
Her wing tips all ablaze,
turn dark green plants all around,
golden like bright yellow maize.
Her velvet cloak flows,
Her shimmering red hair blows,
On a gentle winter breeze.
Standing amid her snowball crop,
on her snowball tower top,
Princess Snowflake reigns,
with her wee aid Tuttle at her side.
Both look out, and to Tuttle she speaks,
"All is ready the flowers are ripe,
prepare to blanket the land,
with a fresh coat of white."
She waves the scepter in her hand,
and the snowballs explode.
A myriad of floating flakes,
clouds of pure white petals,
escape as each ball shakes.
All will be new,
when the new day breaks.
The land's old darkness,
painted a fresh white hue.
Wee Tuttle smiles and says with delight,
"Gentle Miss, tis a beautiful gift, you give this night."
