Artwork Description

This is one of my least favorite works, but everyone seems to be drawn to it. Did it all in one long and horrible night

*feelsforcedtoleaveacomment* Wow, there's an amazing mood. I've to say I didn't picked you out randomly, but from the frontpage feature. And I'm really surprised to find such good pictures. You're a def artist! Lew.

I love it...It just is one of those pics you are drawn into. You can feel her saddness and the night sucking her up. You just can.

This is a wonderful picture. Well I think anyway. In fact, this is one of the best pictures I have seen in the last year plus. I have no idea why I like it so much. It was my wallpaper for the longest time, then I formatted. Thanks to Google, it will be my wallpaper again and I can message the artist as well. Sorry you don't like it, because I love it.

I personally think it's fantastically done. You can practically feel the woman sink into the night. There's a sadness in it that's really attractive.

I see why it is your least favorate. It is not finished...looks like you lost track of what you were doing.

This little lass comes across as the same sort as my character in role playing (and believe me, its impossible to find any picture that remotely resembles her! )but I must say that I absolutely adore the warming light on her cheeks and the way the flower seems to feed it to her. Its one of those pictures that makes me want to cry and smile at once because it touches different parts of me. Wonderful work.

Considering your other work, I understand why you don't like it as much. But I think it is thought provoking and different. You should consider expanding this 'look and feel' into its own style. The lighting and white lines give it a dark mystical eerieness.

The first thing I thought of after seeing it was The Crow comic series. The childs parents or brother has been brutally killed and she morns laying the flower at the grave. After she leaves the fallen loved one rises to avenge their death and protect the child from the murderer.

IMO...

Scatterheart here again: to inform you that I think this is a very bjorkish drawing. I think I see why you don't favor it much, but still it is very good. If I am drawn to it it would be due to thinking I am looking at my favorite celebrity, Björk Smile

It looks like its got a mood, or like she's trying to get a warm place and the flower is the light in the dark world. Very cool.

Hey Tim...Me and you have something in common. It is your least favorite work as well as mine. IT Blows...but in a good way Smile

least favorite work? sometimes speed brings out the strong points in your drawing but i can see where the speed might of hurt it in structure. It looks good though. I know if I did it those little mistakes would bug the hell out of me too

It's got such a nice stmosphere! The lightign and background are great!

The white "cracks" are reminiscent of batik. So yes, it's much more one dimensional than most of your work (that I've seen here), but it's still very appealing and reminds me of painted fabric. I like it!

I think this a very successful piece. The technique & lighting are wonderful. The focus on the girl & flower is what it's all about. It has less detail than your other work, but sometimes less is better. I like this image.

Definately the lighting, combined with the white lines on black... gives it a sort of stained glass quality which is really nice.

I think it's the lighting that draws people in--there's something about the rich, brilliant lights in the background that really draws the eye. Overall, I like this..but the ragged white lines around the forms are a bit distracting in places.
