I wish I could get offline... I am just tied to your galary and right now I discover, that you'Re doing, what I dreamt of since I am very small... you develop visions like this for disney? I know now, that I won't make it, b/c I can't even finish a portfolio. I know, there are other ways... and I am so glad to see pictures like this on epilogue...
Your work's fantastic! Treasure planet really rocked, box-office ratings be damned!
This is a 'sketch'? Oh dear, I think I better take up a new job, I hear chicken farming is good.
Thank you, Iris. Good luck to you too.
I find this so interesting.... seeing the work that goes into those movies. I wrote an essay about 'disneyfication of graphic design' which was very interesting to have a look into how it all works. I even have this fantastic book of all these artists who made fantastic pictures for movies like fantasia... to get the feel of the movie. It is great and here you are, you are on of those people, man I envy you, you must have the best job ever. Then again your talent is overwhelming so you deserve every bit of praise you receive. Good luck in the future and keep giving us a peek behind the scene's.
Thank you, Meredith.
To tell you the truth, all the artists who worked on this movie still don't understand why it didn't do well at the box-office. It came out around the same time as the 2nd Harry Potter did. Maybe it has been a factor, or maybe people are getting tired of the Disney overwhelming monopoly.
I think all yor work is gorgeous, and despite what lots of peole say I loved the movie too.
...The movie was way better than box office figures suggested.
I like the subtle but effective colouring in this. especially the highlight colour on the cloud tops - great work!!!!
