For whatever reason pain and agony seem to hunt us all regardless from time to time...
this work is great..would you ever give color to this piece couse is really good.
SOOO Talented... left, right and centre... I hope you don't mind using your art on my desktop... if only you could draw me... I've always said that the person who sketches me will my favourite artist
Breath taking pencil tones Chris. There moments in life where we can feel dark .You show your demon in lost... Are your drawings based on a search or a pursuit of something .... A complete beauty.
Thank you for your kind comments Marcela. We all feel a little down from time to time. As my father always says You have to fall to appreciate to stand. I hope you sort the storm out.
Last comment (only because it's the best): You are truely amazing! You pencil work and just wow! The way you capture emotion is pure talent! Your anatomy is great. And just....wow. Now as for this image in perticular...it called out to me so much because at this point in time, I feel his pain and agony (which seems to be endless). It almost made me wanna cry (because it reminded me of my own pain), BUT i didn't. I'm a strong little girl. *flexes muscles* Ok...maybe not so much there, but....great work! Just absolutely great!
Chris.. you have done it again, I am so moved by your work. It is so rare for ones soul to be touched by such, you have acomplished that for me through all your work, this is one of my favorites! hell I love them all
There is nothing greater than to have somebody comforting you when you're feeling down. Thank you for the very sweet words Kristina.
everytime I see this one I fall more in love with it! Its a wonderful piece Chris! The emotion is incredible, makes me want to go comfort the poor guy, give him a big hug!
Veeery nice - not just angels fall - eh? The mottled wings are a nice touch.
Another example of your extraordinary talent with the pencil what overwhelmed me the most is not the brilliant hands or the innovating wings but the mood you communicate with this piece of art. Exceptional!
I love the feeling and mood of this...it would make a great painting...hint hint..
This one is a real heart-wrencher....
You are a supurb artist and rich personality.
Wow..beautiful.. let me be awed in silence
Well portrayed! You can feel his despair. He's giving up. You sure have hands down pat. I still have trouble with them. They are so intricate. I really like this one Chris.
As you know my budget does not really allow me to hire models.. *smile* Besides I have been studying my own anatomy for 20 years so why not use it?
Glad to have put a smile on your face! I have started to work on "our" image now. I hope it will be on Epilogue by the end of next week. Thank you again for your kind words.
I would be so honered:D *grins from ear to ear* And I got somehow the idea that the demon you refer to..is actually...you?
A fine sketch which looks even better in sepia. The composition with the wings is very good. But doesn't he look vaguely familiar? *poke poke* =)
...in life that makes one happy. Your comment is one of them. Thank you.
Next to the face, I think that is what really defines a state of mind.
In my oppinion Demons also have dreams and hopes. Even though they differ from ours they can still loose faith.
Thank you for the splendid idea! A demon that is being torn from inside, questioning his purpose in life, and a comforting girl trying to convert him. I will dedicate it to you Novita.
To tell you the truth I was just tired of all those fallen angels that drops from the sky almost reminding me of an old 70´s song by The Weather Girls.
I've never seen panterprint wings yet, but for everything a first time;)And this turned out so freakin' good!!! The horns, I love the horns also:) The emotion is so real..just wanna go there and comfort him:)
Wow, this looks great--the sadness is palpable...the way his wing hangs down is a wonderful touch. I also have to compliment you on the way you've done his hands--very believable.
very moody... i want those wings.
This really makes a powerful statement. He looks as if he's given up. You have a fabulous talent for mood and atmosphere, and a super eye for detail, too. I love this.
I didn't know demons could fall any lower.. unless they did something good, then they're shunned from their evil clan. beautiful colour, excellent drawing, especially the expression and pose.
