"Demon glance" This is the first one of two portraits I did.
you're gorgeous..hehe.. i think im inlove *grins* you,re such a hottie xxx charlie
when i first saw your self portrait i was inspired to write 1 stanza to a poem. recent events inspired me to finish that poem. thought i'd put it here along with the piece that initially inspired me.
by his thick dark hair
his clear demonic demeanor
and his unwavering stare
he's deviant in every aspect
yet intrigues with his devilish charm
this angel caught his piercing eye
and now naïvely longs to be at his arm
his curses are stabbing words
as if summoned from a pitch-forked tongue
but this angel quietly observed as his eyes
the windows of his hidden, sung
this angel silently bewildered
by an image almost unknown in a devious one
and as soon as the demon knew she noticed
in a whisp, an instant, a quick moment he was gone
in the midst of his sudden disappearance
and as her tears stain
she is overwhelmed by sadness with the thought of
never seeing the waters in his eyes gently ripple... ever again
You please us greatly with your work. Is this your true form, for it looks akin to our own. We were delighted by this piece, the expression, texture, form and the horns. We would wish to see more of your work. Farewell mortal
wow! very nice job! on everything really! i love it!~Carrie
i take it he's a demon, to me it looks like a centaur, but dont get me wrong it does look like a demon too. but if that is really what you look like then congrats, i know how hard it can be to draw from life, especially yourself, at least you know how to position and listen to what you want done in the pose(sometimes anyway)
I tried to draw this same picture but the horns came out all slanted. Also the hair came out too pointy. Any suggestions?
I love this! Very sexy ;D
Master of the pencil, your inspiring, ever since I saw your work I'm learning to draw even better because of the motivation you've brought to my life.. beautiful is the word to express your work.. anyway thanks chris. --daly
Take your time, he won't go anywhere... Thank you for your flattering remarks Hanifa.
by his thick dark hair,
his clear demonic demeanor
and his unwavering stare!
and soon there'll be more words, I just have to stare back for awhile longer
With such sweet flattering I would forgive you for anything Mrs Magoo. Actually I can really identify with your own description since I am very much absent-minded myself, and sometimes to a level beyond comprehension.
Slaps Kay...I thought I had commented on this painting before! This is one of my favorites in the gallery of souls...I just love the expression and you have done the thing that every artist seeks....when you look at all the thumbnails this one POPs out at you...Well sorry I didn't comment before...I am blond and forgetful and loose my glasses every few minutes and if the phone rings I talk for an hour and forget where I was..lol..
Hehe...making excuses for Mrs Magoo...Forgive me...she screams...
Well, if you ever walk around in Sweden...
whow.. as soon as i saw this pic i got a great feeling, like butterflies into my stomach. u look nearly like a boyfriend i had once, but u are a bit sexier *g*
i'm very in love with your glance and your hair *sighs*

Courage and self-confidence.. I like that in a girl. You be aware Rowan...
um..::fans herself with stray computer paper :: i think I am in love, I mean the horns are a plus I've always went for bad boys ::grins:: anytime you want to chat look me up! email@example.com
I have to admit I worked pretty hard on it and I do hold it as one of my personal favourites but I never expected it to receive this amount of compliments. Thank you.
As you might have noticed I have a passion for horns...
I will always cherish my pencil cause it is the basics of all drawing and the mother of all art. The simple sketch from where an idea is born. "Why demonic?" -I think it's a guy thing you're missing.
I think everybody here knows the joy of getting a comment.. -You have now commented twice and that doubles the joy! Thank you Chris.
With compliments like that you don't need to worry.
You make me blush now Donna... Thank you for your nice comment.
Thank you again Stan! You must have really liked this one and I take that as a great compliment.
Thank you for all your comments Darude. There is nothing like receiving such compliments for something that is all about passion and practice. I do have some sketches inspired by Tolkien that I will finish when time lets me.
Nice horns *grin* and I like that you're looking... intense.
Wow. Ur nice to look at I luv the way this is done. The lines just work so perfect with your face. Your eyes are nothing but amazing. And your hair is really something. I'm in love with your portrait.
Wonderful work with pencil. It's hard to find someone still true to that medium. ^^ Your shading amazes me, Xavier. But, I've got to know, why did almost all the males in the epilogue's self-portrait gallery draw themselves demonic? Is it a guy thing I'm missing? ;P
~Ri: a random art lover =)
I know I've commented on this before, and I must say that this a great addition to "The Gallery of Souls"; That expression is sooo sassy!!! Heh heh.
Ultra-cool. Wouldn't want to piss you off!! Nice job!
Wow!! What a hottie!! I am very impressed with your people-rendering skills. The way that you made the horns blend seamlessly into the head was just brilliant! The wild hair and the satyr beard really add to the ambiance of the picture. Tres Pan!
