Oh, VERY nice work! Wonderful mood between the two. Wonderful curve o the tails intertwining. I've sculpted a few dragons in my day and those scales had to be ever so time consuming. Well done!

Awww,they're gorgeous ! Exquisite detail.

Thanks for the compliments! I made them out of Super Sculpey with a wire armature. They're stand about 5" high. I made the scales by creating small wire 'stamps' and pressing each scale idividually. Took a while, but deffinitely easier than applying scales to the surface! I've got several metalic powders that I add to my acrylic paints to make good dragon colors, and the shiney surface is a thick coating of Sculpey's gloss glaze.

A sculpture! Wow--that's fantastic! I thought it was a painting when I saw the thumbnail, but...wow! I love the little scales, and the surface sheen--what did you make those out of? How was it done? I'm so curious now...they're wonderful!

Oo these are so beautiful! From the thumbnail i couldnt see that this were sculptures.. how awesome! They look so elegant and natural.. and not to forget in love ~.^ What sort of material is this sculpture made of? It looks so shiny and smooth. It's so detailed, so realistic.. all those scrubs and skintexture..whoa, awesome !

Art at its best.
