Artwork Description

This is my first piece entered into epilogue so far (*pats self on the back*). I originally scanned it in pencil and then went through the long grueling process of coloring everything in by hand in Photoshop. Stay tuned for more Lord o' the Rings drawings!

"Day 4: Still not king."
Really love the textures in his face ( his nose too smooth, copared to his pockmarked cheekbones?), and theh color in his eyes is FANTASTICALLY AMAZING! Smile Good job.

hey, remember me?
you spoke to me in #epilogue, i was called saffi.
wow, i have to say im very impressed by what you've done to this now! the background has greatly improved- those mountains are exellent! i see his skin has more texture and you have made it less red. you should be proud of what you can do, because i never have the patience to change something so drastically.

I also like the sad eyes of this man. The colours, and the morning glimmer of the mountain. He seems to be like the mountains - What have they seen in their long life?
Es gefällt mir wirklich sehr! (=beautiful)

If it weren't for y'all's advice, comments and help, I wouldn't have gotten this far! I've learned a lot from y'all, an' I appreciate everythin' said!

Congrats! The extra work did pay off, I like the extra little highlighting you added in his beard. I can see you added a bit more work to his skin, and the mountains in the background look really really good now. A little touch like the terrain highlights can make a difference. Keep up the good work!

I've been following this one on the forum, and must say - you got it right this time. the background matches the face now, good job. Especially those sad eyes are really well rendered Smile

Art at its best.
