Artwork Description

I'm so excited to be part of this site, I did this illustration just for Epilogue! It's done in Photoshop with a Wacom.

You have a really nice style, I knew I'd like this as soon as I saw the thumbnail.

I have to say you have your own style and I love it. Good luck and love your work

Thanks, Mark! I love to sculpt. Clay, stone, wood; so I know my illustration is informed by that. I love the illustration of Thomas Hart Benton, who actually scupted his scenes in plastillina and lit them just so, to get his volumes just right. The result is a very 3D look.

Ha! Great characters Scott, your work has a wonderful 'solid' feel almost as if the figures were sculpted in clay.

I owe it all to you, Celeste! Thank you for turning me on to this great site, and all your enthusiasm and support. I'm going to finish this someday!

Having seen this from start to finish, I have to say: you are an inspiration! I love the addition of the mushrooms and the face in the tree trunk. Also, the detail, like being able to see his staff through the leaf. Beautiful!

I like it - you have your own style. Very nice details - like the twisted beard and this leaf hat.. Smile

Art at its best.
