Artwork Description

This one's very Shire-inspired. Smile Ink, Graphite, Charcoal; 3 1/8" x 3 3/8". Inked elements- The foreground, path, and tree- were stippled with Sakura Pigma Micron pens. The sky and moon were begun with a light rubbing of powdered charcoal, applied with a cotton ball, and developed with graphite pencils and kneaded erasers. The inked areas were lightly toned with both graphite pencil and powdered charcoal, applied with a Q-Tip, to adjust contrast and add a bit more warmth.

Fantastic - I love this. So intricate and atmospheric. Love the size, too, makes it all seem very precious.
