Artwork Description

I did this one for a competition of a german website, where I also have a gallery (www.fantasy-arthouse.de). The subject was "Dragon & Book"...I used white paper again for this time.

Later note: ...the picture won the contest, btw Smile

2005: I recolored the picture...

What he's reading? A Dragon's Tale of course Smile Perhaps one of those books, where the dragon is the hero, and the hero the beast he has to defeat to save a young dragon princess, what ever *lol* This, my friend, is one part of the picture every viewer draws for him self Smile

This is a very handsom dragon and painting.

But i wonder what he's reading? Maybe "Human Tails"?

Thanks, but to say the true, I never drew something like this by my own. I t was a competition, where the theme was given: Dragon & Book...so the idea is not really mine alone Smile

He seems so occupied with book (better than maiden snatcing).Pictures like this are rare since most dragon pics portray them as fearsome beasts. This one is true gem.

Thank you, James. As it was only a sketch, I throwed it away two times because it was not satisfying me at all. But I always took it back and at the evening of the same day, it was born Smile This was a good decision.

In fact, when I had to give a name to the image, I was thinking about a title like "Old wise...something". But I did not have an idea for that "something", so it got A Dragon's Tale. And it was also planned to make him looking old and wise...

Excellent pencil work, Daniel! your lines and shade have created a great texture look to the skin, and the complimentary colours work very well! brilliant original Dragon!

He seems to be an old wise dragon! I don't know much about dragons but I would like to meet this one! Your work is great!

Art at its best.
