Artwork Description

The merfaeries, like their other sister faeries-in-waiting, are transparent when they are in the non-physical realm but are solid when they are in the corporeal realm. Their skin is the same as that of their queen guardian and that of the Water Dragon so they are also tough and strong. Their small hands emit blue light that flows within them and from their queen. Together with the Water Dragon and the Sea Dragon they aid “Water” in maintaining and safeguarding the life force that flows within the vital waters of the planet and in other realms.

She's a fabric sculpture embellished with glass seed beads, lead crystal beads, holographic sequins and feathers. The fabric is hand painted with silk paint.

Thanks Rochelle!

Your welcome to all the techniques I can teach you in 2-d rendering. As for the fabric sculpture techniques though, my TDA (Three Dimensional Art) in the 2nd semester is limited to sculpture techniques as the school does not have sewing machines for the class.
