Artwork Description

There's another picture (that been pending for a week) that describes who this guy is. The cogs in the background represent his ability to fix anything.

Created in Illustrator 10- all vector.Gradient Mesh with the new symbol sprayer tool (the cogs).

Damn, this is the hottest guy I've seen in Epilogue yet.And he's hot because he's very well painted, which leads me to my only major problem with this picture...WHY ISN'T HE REAL ?!?!

dilosh's picture should be the best vector drawer ever!this is so cool...

Great and impressive technique. The gears almost evoke a floral background to me.

Glad you like it- I like to use the black outline because I love Leonetto Cappiello's work and all of the other poster artists of old-and it kinda gives it that feel. About your question- The face is one mesh object, mouth and nose included. The eyes and eyebrows are
separate mesh objects (too hard to do nose, mouth AND eyes from one mesh object). Neck, clavicles and traps are one object, arms are one object each, chest is one object and torso is one mesh object.

Thanks Anneth! I've started a tutorial. Need to make some time to finish it-

This is just great - maybe my favorite of yours so far! The strong black outline lends a Nouveau flavor, and the gears are a fine motif. Now, a technical question -- I've been playing with the gradient mesh, and it's indeed pretty cool! Can you give us an idea of what areas on the picture are the mesh areas? For instance, is the face one, and the left arm another; the chest one and the abdomen another? Or, are they bigger or smaller than that? Any hint of wisdom would be wonderful!
