Artwork Description

Although I don´t think I did a good job on the woman´s face (a classmate from high school was the model, actually), I love the feel of this picture. She knows what that card means... and evidently, she finds that terribly amusing. Or, as some reviewer in Elfwood once told me, maybe it just means your goldfish will die and she wants to see you squirm. Wink

I really like the colors, although, you could add more amusement in her eyes.

I don't think the face is wrong at any rate, in fact, it's a lovely painting.
just for information, the card's death, from the major arcana, it's suppsed to mean that you must be more careful and less trusty in your life or something will go wrong

Oh my favorite card! Death! It rarely means physical death but life changes, out with the old, in with the new. Very well done, I love this piece.

And I must say that I agree with you, but I like the concept of this picture so much I am actually considering turning it into an oil painting... I am just waiting til I feel a bit more comfortable with the medium. Smile

Hello again Monica, I think the expression is quite self satisfied and works very well. I do however think there is much less drama in this piece compared to your others.

Very impressive. Have you ever gone to a fortune teller?

Or even worse, your grandmother's goldfish will die.

Art at its best.
