My second dream inspired piece. I was playing a good amount of MYST when I drempt this scene. 24X36 Oil on canvas.
J Matthew Root is an incrediably talented !!!!!
All your work is very good, but this one goes above and beyond. Great Job!!
Wow, this work is great. It is honestly some of the best I have seen. The atmosphere is sublime, the technique is wonderful. I'm not a big fan of scantily clad women in fantasy unless it is done well. I must say that I can look past it because the women are just plain kick a**. The atmospheres remind me of Michael Whelan paintings. He is the one who inspired me to choose this field. It's like Michael Whelan meets Tim Burton. I'm not one for flattery, but you have a good thing goin here. Keep it up. You have definitely inspired this guy to create some, hopefully good, artwork.
This is spectacular! I love the oil technique you have and the colors are so perfect. I do get the Myst "vibe" in a great way here... I wonder how I can get to that house... maybe it involves the missing clock hands...?
This is a fantastic image. It does have that myst feel to it. I have a lot of respect for people who can get that luminescent look outside of a computer.
Enigmatic! I wonder what's at the bottom of that huge chain!?! The Kraken!
my favorite of your posted work ... lovely atmosphere and tones , like it so much i think i might wallpaper my desktop with it . nice one !
What a cool setting! I'm curious though, what does that big chain under the house lead to? Could it perhaps be the tub drain?
i am a huge fan of myst - finished myst III a few months back - and this really gives me the same feeling the game does... very impressive!
very magical, very beautiful, I especially like how you handle the reflection on the water.
Absolutely breathtaking, wonderful work!
Very beautiful picture!Manon:-)
Really great depth as well as an almost overwhelming emptiness-lonley even-great stuff!
I just been voyaging through your gallery, and well worth the cruise, it was. This is magic! is that Clock big Ben...?
