Artwork Description

This is the third and final revision of this piece. I deleted the first one after it got accepted here. I redid it to avoid any issues with the old one. I borrowed too heavily from a different artist's spider on the older versions. So here I designed my own spider from scratch, and think that it made this piece much much better than it was before. I also revised Miss Muffit a bit. This was a class assignment where we had to illustrate a Nursery Rhyme.

Ack. Just ack... It's a little surreal, and very cool. As the previous comment mentioned, it's sort of nightmarish - chased by a giant spider with outsize mandibles and nowhere to run, because you're on the Little Prince's planet. (Hint for Miss Muffet: if there's no Raid handy, a can of aerosol potpourri works just as well)

*claps and stands up* Yay!! I love spiders and spiders chasing people are all the better. Bravo. .::Revy

Thanks a lot. I am very pleased with this one. I am hoping to find more projects to do in stark black and white but not all of the scenes I want to do really work in B&W.

Thanks for the comment and the heads up on the spelling. I am so spell-check dependent that I make stupid mistakes whenever I don't have it. I bet I misspelled at least one word in my reply.

this was done really well.....i hate spiders.
by the way, "along" is spelled with one "l".

This is brilliant - really stark and eye-catching, and yet with the giant globe, and the pose you've drawn Miss Muffet in, it has a very eerie, dream-like quality to it. Top stuff.

Art at its best.
