twstdrealty8's picture first I liked the pucture because of the hectic brushtrokes mixed in with the girl's, well, not so hectic brushstrokes. Then I read the earlier comment, and I didn't even see the dragonfly! That just pushed me over the top and now I love the picture! The colors are so subtle that it definately gives off the calm feeling throughout the whole thing. Almost as though that even though the waterfall is loud and the nature around her may distract her, her undivided attention to the dragonfly brought everything else to a nice calm silence. Loving it! I love how there is a subtle tension between the calm colors and composition, and the vigorous brush strokes. That really makes the title especially appropriate. The dragon-fly makes a nice "end" to the visual story, too.

Art at its best.
