Artwork Description

Submission for the cover of an upcoming d20 product. It was rejected, but still graces my portfolio. (The digital coloring predates my accusation of a WACOM tablet).

Thanks, Ben Smile I can't go into the story too much, since the product is yet to be released. But yeah, sure, that's a skirt!

Glad you like it, André. They rejected it because they were looking for more of a traditional painterly execution (no pun intended), and they wanted the hero to be more heroic Wink I never have hard feelings about rejection, though. They did accept some of my other stuff for interior work.

How can this have been rejected?
The sad eyes of the executioner perhaps? Wink

I like it. Especially how the faces tries to fight their way to the falling soldier.

Art at its best.
