Artwork Description

Based on an image from the Maciejowski bible, the retreating king and his army are slaughtered by the victorious troops as they attempt to flee to the safety of their castle. This was done for a mass-produced program cover, and spiced up a bit to illustrate the brutality of war.

Beautifully executed (so to speak!)

As a former medievalist (who does not, however, have Monty Python dolls) let me just say, ooh yeah! This is great! Not only does it have the smack of authenticity, you've made it modern with clean lines and almost abstract patterning in the limbs/city skyline. A very successful illustration.

I love this one... it's like you can speak a nearly forgotten language. I know you may have to look for a patron body, but I don't think there are _that_ many people who can do this with such authenticity. I hope you can profit on that. I also have 12" Monty Python Holy Grail figures sitting here on my desk, so I may be biased a wee bit. Great though!

Um...that's really scarry. Neat though, nice style. That guy's getting stabbed in the's not a nice message, but it's well communicated.

Art at its best.
