Artwork Description

Based on the concordance pages et al of the Book of Kells. This was done for a mass-produced cover of a newsletter. The text -
Beneath the horses front hooves "CORONA VULT". The main text "S EAS ONS (seasons) QUARTERLY JOURNAL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES IN MERIDIES" On the lower right column "FALL A.S.XXI"

I *love* working in the Irish celtic style. I think I comprehend the mechanics of the style pretty well. Contained within the text are angels, dragons, wyrms, boars, horses, a fish, dogs, birds of all sorts, foliage, men, a mer-lion and a large ram.

The late George Bain would be most impressed. You more than comprehend the style, you inhabit it. I've never had the patience to do anything remotely like this.

Thanks very much. I never thought about getting certified - good idea! Smile

You must like this client a lot or you're certifiably insane, because I know how long something like this takes to draw. I do knotwork all the time, but nothing quite as involved as this. My hat is off too you... very well done!

This one's just beautiful. Very detailed, and lovely rythm with all the curvy knots.

Art at its best.
