Artwork Description

This is my entry for the Epilogue Forum 'anti-cliche' contest.
Two women depicted here, one alive and one a memorial statue. Both are in full armor, with their hair tied back. I'll have none of your half-naked bimbettes with hair blowing in the wind. One of them is even old. These women are strong, tough, and prepared for battle.
I'm very much into symbolic meaning in my illos, so if you think there is signifigance to some design or small detail, you're probably right.

Wow! It's so amazing!!

very interesting and strange point of view like the sleeping beauty theme and the only active moving thing is the horse lol kindof funny even somehow but very beautiful I wish I could pull this from my imagination

Guest's picture

Not only is it different, it is drawn beautifully and it allows the imagination to wander off as to what happened to the woman depicted in the statue and who was she to the mourner. I think it is wonderful and you should keep to this originality!

Great horse...and from a different viewpoint as well...and, yeah, the white highlights really add something to the picture!

That's such an interesting perspective! I love your details, especially the horses riding gear and tail knot.

Incredible picture. I love the style and the technique. I guess I usually do those "bimbettes" you talk about but I can still love different things, right?
