Glad you like the picture. Luna is 16"x20" and is framed under glass which is kinda unusual to do but woodburns will fade if placed in sunlite. Thanks for taking the time to check out my gallery.

Hi Smile I saw your intro message on the scifishow mailing list and I'm utterly impressed by your work Smile Such delicacy in wood carving and excellent subdued colours, I dig a lot ! May I ask what size are those ?

All my woodburns are done with a Colwood burner. I start with usually birchwood and sketch my design onto the wood with a pencil. Then I start burning. I work from the darkest areas first, to the lightest. This picture I added acrylic paint to the Luna moth so it would stand out. Woodburn pictures can not withstand direct sunlight (the picture will fade) so it's best to hang them where the sun don't shine. Smile
That's about it.
