Pen and ink illustration for Leading Edge story "Key to Pain" by Linda Wood
Hi Mr. Ensley, i was looking for your work on the internet, and saw his page. Very cool!
Good observation. Actually, in the story "Key to Pain" by Linda Wood, for which this illustration was produced, the concept of a "nerve harp" figures prominently.
Very neat ideas, it like he is playing with his nerve rather the string of violent.
The music is from Beethoven. Thank you for the nice comments.
hey Randall! I love this concept here like the rest of the folks. the drooping lines really show sorrow and pain. cool! nice hands. i'm not a musician but are those notes actually a tune for something?!
hehe, thank you Marcela! I encourage you to check out the art of Virgil Finlay, a unique artist from mainly the 50's!
haha, great concept and well executed. I lvoe how the notes become cord into his body. Great job!
Prints are available for this "creepy" illustration which is seen in the October 2001 Leading Edge and June 2002 Challenging Destiny magazines. Check Epilogue Store for availability.
