I don't know why I'm seeing that... but the hole in the middle seems to be some kind of doorway. I'ts late... Maybe I just should go to bed! Tongue

Thank you! Edward Gorey, ay? I'll have to look him up! Thanks again for the great comment!

This piece is excellent! Sureal and vaguely creepy. Reminds me a bit of Edward Gorey (one of my favorite artists). I like your tree themes.

thanks so much for the kind words, Howard! My art often draws parallels with my life or a moment in my life, so in that sense, my art is very realistic. Smile I also enjoy writing, so I try to include poetry with each piece. It helps explain the piece and its a lot funner for the viewer to read rather than a long description of what you already know. Smile

i think you are a great symbolist/surreallist...in both your art and poetry! ...which, in your work anyway...makes you a superb "realist". ......excellent!

This is my fav in ur gallery. The tree looks so alive, it's rather eerie and scary. (kinda reminds me of beatle juice...) I like the way the figure and the tree compliment each other. Nice concept. Very original.

Thanks. You know I never even noticed that about her apperal. My mind just tells me to draw something and I do it, without realizing the amount of creativity being put forth. It's odd, when I draw/paint, I feel like I'm not really there. My mind just takes over and uses my hands to construct what it wants. Good thing I always agree with it though. Smile Thanks for making me realize this detail. Smile And I hope I don't seem too weird now. Smile

Amazing! I absolutely love the design of the tree, organic and at the same time synthetic, the way it twists and wraps. Great work!

I think this is my favorite of your work so far. This has superior design features. This twisted looks like worms forming a tree design is really unique. I like. More like this it could be your style.

Art at its best.
