Artwork Description

The title refers to the torture room in George Orwell's 1984. This is a large piece. The details of the machinery are actually bits and pieces from plastic model kits.

Like the first reply; I don't like the person... they look like they are just mishappened and worried, apposed to dirty. I also ready 1984, twice actualy. Very nice book.

I dis-agree with the post above this, Mr. Fuhst, It doesnt fit the style of JTHM. Though the context of it does sort of agree, a person strapped down waiting for there own death just to be released from the torchure they are enduring.

Over all, I don't know if I like it, but it is a very good peice of art becuase it's quality is supperb. Keep up the good work!

Incredible. This looks like it should have come right out of the "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" comic. I would love to pick your brain.

I really like your work. It's wonderful. I read 1984, and I think that your concept of the lighting and machinery (or plastic toys, heehee) is awesome. The lighting focuses on him the guy in the middle, and makes him look so solitary, it's awesome. My only problem is that the person on the torture platform is....too...smooth. He's supposed to be tortured. I like his eyes, but he doesn't look dirty, or wrinkled, or nasty. Remember..."the last man..." Overall, excellent work.

Art at its best.
